Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary. For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school. Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Bring your own device program

Macquarie Fields High School has implemented a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) with Year 7-12 students.

Devices compatible with the school wifi specifications

Families advised to purchase devices that meet these specifications. Notebooks (laptops) running Windows 10 and above or Mac IOS are the most compatible with the school wifi. Parents are also advised to purchase a suitable durable bag or case for the device. Students will need administrator access to their device to be able to join the school wifi.

Chromebooks and iPads are not compatible with the school printing systems and are not recommended.

HP BYOD Portal

The school has partnered with HP to create a BYOD shopping portal to assist families purchase devices and accessories that are compatible with the school network.

Software Available for Download

The Department of Education (DoE) has made Microsoft Office 365, and Google Apps software available for free* for students to download onto a single personal device. Students can access this software by logging into their Student Portal accounts, and clicking on the My Learning Tools tab.

Support for families accessing a device to use at home

For families who require support accessing a device for their child to use at home can arrange an appointment with their child's Deputy Principal to discuss their child's access needs. Depending on the child's needs, a small pool of school managed laptops are available for borrowing to use at home.
