Macquarie Fields High School has implemented a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) with Year 7-12 students.
All Student's devices will only be connected to the school systems once the student returns the BYOD agreement form and their device meets the minimum specifications required including antivirus installed. The form is to be returned to the Teacher Librarian in the School Library.
Devices Compatible with the Specifications
Families advised to purchase devices that meet these specifications. Notebooks (laptops) running Windows 10 or Mac IOS are the most compatible with the school wifi. Parents are also advised to purchase a suitable durable bag or case for the device. Students will need administrator access to their device to be able to join the school wifi.
Software Available for Download
The Department of Education (DoE) has made Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Apps software available for free* for students to download onto a single personal device. Students can access this software by logging into their Student Portal accounts, and clicking on the Learning tab.
Students can also access the Office 365 and Adobe CC software here.
