Selective Entry 8-11 2023 Exam

To assist the selection panel in its deliberations, the school proposes to conduct entrance examinations at the school on Saturday 30 Juky 2022. For students entering Years 8 and 9 in 2023 there are three examinations: Creative Thinking Skills (30 minutes), English (45 minutes) and Mathematics (45 minutes). For students entering Years10 and 11 in 2022 there are also three examinations: Creative Thinking Skills (30 minutes), English (60 minutes) and Mathematics (60 minutes).

Please note:

• The exam for students entering Years 8 and 9 will commence at 9.30am sharp. Registration will commence at 9.00am
• The exam for students entering Years 10 and 11 will commence at 1.30pm sharp. Registration will commence at  1.00pm

These examinations assist in the comparisons of the merits of students from different schools.

Further information on the tests and the test organisation will be forwarded to applicants on receipt of their application form together with a non-refundable administrative fee of $50.00 inclusive of GST. This fee covers the costs of providing examination supervisors and the marking of papers and ranking of portfolios along with other administrative costs. Payment can be made by cash, eftpos or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Macquarie Fields High School. Payment must be made in person when submitting the application form.

No student will be able to sit for the exam by booking in and paying on the day of the examination.

There will NOT be another opportunity to sit the exam on another day if the student is unable to attend.
