Year 8 shine at the CSIRO Generation STEM Showcase

Students in 8STEM8 and 8STEM9 participated in the 2023 CSIRO GenerationSTEM program.

On November 30 at Campbelltown Arts Centre, both classes presented their proposed solutions to the challenge of reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill in the Campbelltown area to councillors from Campbelltown and Camden Councils, staff from the CSIRO, representatives from the Campbelltown Rotary, and students and staff from the other presenting schools.

The students used waste plastic that they had collected, cleaned, melted, and shaped to present their ideas as physical models.
