On Wednesday June 11, the MFHS Open Girl's Cricket team represented the Hume Zone for the Marie Cornish Trophy competition. The girls had an outstanding result, winning by 2 wickets against Picnic Point High School with a total of 228 runs. Trushna Hadawle scored 68 runs. This is very exciting for MFHS, as it is the first ever girls' team! The team is yet to find out who they are playing next.
Special mentions to Emily Schafer, Aditi Shidore and Trushna for conducting training sessions in the lead up to the game, as well as Christopher Jetty and Shreyash Shinde for helping with umpiring and scoring on the day.
Thank you to Ms Moore for taking the students and providing them with this opportunity.
